HGMI
HGMI Bible School Training Programme for Community Transformational Leaders.
The HGMI was established in 1996 with the purpose of lifting the abandoned and underprivileged by bringing and building God’s Kingdom on Earth. Their target group is mainly Hungarian-speaking Gypsies in and around Hungary who continuously encounter different needs in many areas of life. As a response to this, the HGMI already provides services in numerous sectors, including basic social care, mission activities, and training and education programmes. To find out more about the HGMI visit their website http://www.gypsymissions.org.
Currently, through mentoring with Global Transformation they have set up a Bible School Training and church planting program to transform communities. They consider biblical training as a key to change the life path of those people whom they serve. 25 leaders have been chosen who will be participating in a two-year programme and will be taught and trained how to disciple others. This programme is more than a simple Bible School training programme, but includes personal development, mentoring and coaching to reach their goals. They want them to influence and transform their communities. This is why they call their trainees Community Transformational Leaders (CTLs). Their aim is to establish a ‘life giving community’ in the middle of hopelessness.
Global Transformation is fundraising for this amazing project which will have an impact for decades to come!
20 Community Transformational Groups (Church Plants) work with the most poor and marginalised people in Hungary, the Roma. Each group has a Community Transformation Leader (CTL) following a 2 year training programme during their plant.
Through the generosity of our donors, we are able to support 12 CTL’s on this program.
