Global Transformation

We are creating resources for individuals, businesses, churches and charities to inspire and encourage them to transform their communities and help alleviate poverty, economically, socially, spiritually, and educationally. This is done through resources, training, coaching and practical examples. We encourage others to improve their society through social action and investment. Ian travels the world regularly speaking at conferences and seminars, creating and developing networks to action Global Transformations mandate for community transformation.

Global Transformation is currently working to promote Community Transformation through the following activities:

Networking and Collaboration

Global Transformation looks to create collaborative networks of organisations to have a bigger impact in their communities. Introducing like minded organisations to each other to help each other allows them to make more of an impact than they could on their own.

Samaritan’s Purse – Ukraine relief

Due to Ian’s extensive network of contacts, he was contacted by Ian Stokes – International Disaster Response Director for Samaritan’s Purse Canada and asked to connect them with contacts running projects to support the refugees fleeing the Ukraine across Europe. Samaritan’s Purse then connected with them to see if they qualified to receive money to fund their projects.

Ian connected them with 9 contacts across Europe and the last feedback we received from Samaritan’s Purse showed 7 were receiving funding for their projects. Recently 5 of these also received a second round of funding to support their ongoing relief efforts. It was a huge privilege to bring these organisations together.

Working in Uganda

Global Transformation is part of a synergistic partnership of organisations which network and collaborate to bring about transformation in all areas of Ugandan society. The partnership includes era92 Creative, Children Arise and Imaginal Education, together they are equipping, empowering and educating Uganda to create a different future. Global Transformation has an advisory and networking role and helps provide resources to Children Arise.

Pais

The Pais Movement is a non-denominational, non-profit organization that creates partnerships between schools, community projects, businesses, and churches. The organization provides “free” apprenticeships, ministry resources and alternative approaches to mission, discipleship and Bible study.

Working with Pais helps fulfil our objectives to create a matrix of organisations working together to create communities that are places of health, happiness and support each other. We work with Pais because their ethos, vision and values align greatly with Global Transformation. We connect organisations and faith based communities to Pais when they might benefit from a gap year young person who could help them start or run their community action projects.

Like minded organisations

Here are some of the organisations where the CEO sits on the board in an advisory capacity. These organisations share similar visions for community transformation.

Fundraising

HGMI CTL Project:

Global Transformation has been fundraising for the HGMI Bible School Training and church planting program which is designed to transform communities. This two-year programme started in 2021 and is more than a simple Bible School training programme, but includes personal development, mentoring and coaching for the individual leaders to reach their goals. The goal is to influence and transform their communities. This is why they call their trainees Community Transformational Leaders (CTLs). Their aim is to establish a ‘life giving community’ in the middle of hopelessness.

To date through their network, Global Transformation has raised over £90,000 in sponsorship for the CTL’s. That’s an amazing contribution to seeing communities transformed!

After helping the HGMI to create the program, Ian was delighted to finally visit in August 2022 and was able to hear first hand about the impact the program is having. With addicts delivered, converts to Christ and over 50 people baptised so far! Not to mention the personal development and maturity of the CTL’s themselves, equipping them to serve their communities more effectively. Watch these videos to hear the CTL’s talk about the program and how much the financial support has helped them.

Ukraine Relief

Like the rest of the world, we were moved by the War in Ukraine and the mass exodus of refugees. We decided to fundraise for those we knew working inside Ukraine and in Poland. Global Transformation was able to send over £7,000 to aid their relief efforts. This was split between 3 Pastors working inside of the Ukraine and KDM Krakow (Church for the City) who are working with Prepare International and are providing food and accommodation for refugees.
